Techniques for Applying Tints to Curved or Contoured Lenses

Here are some techniques to apply out tint:

  1. Make sure that the anchor is strong so our film doesn't move on us.

  2. Using warm/hot water and/or heat will make the film super malleable and allow us to stretch and conform the film to the curved areas.

  3. Stretch the film to remove all wrinkles.

  4. Use overlapping strokes when squeegeeing out the water to ensure full adhesion onto the lens.

  5. Post heat to ensure the film doesn't peel off or come loose due to the stretching that we did.
