Tools Recommended For Wet Method For Best Results:

  • Slip Solution -Water with Soap (Baby Shampoo or Dawn Soap)

  • Microfiber Towel

  • Optional: Heat Gun or Hairdryer (Drying Process)

Slip Solution Mixing Guide (16 oz Bottle)

This solution helps you position the decal before it sticks.

  • Mix in a spray bottle:

    • 2–3 pumps of dish soap (like Dawn)

    • 16 oz of clean water (preferably distilled or filtered)

  • Instructions

    • Fill the bottle with 16 oz of water

    • Add:

      • 2 pumps for a lighter standard slip (easier to dry, good for most conditions)

      • 3 pumps for extra slip (useful in warm weather or for complex decals)

  • Close and shake gently to mix.

Important Soap Information

Adding too much soap can:

  • Prevent the decal from adhering well
  • Leave residue under the vinyl
  • Increase drying time

Light mix gives you the perfect balance of repositionability and adhesion, especially for small-to-medium decals.

Set Up Your Work Area

  • Avoid direct sunlight, wind, dirt, or dust while working.

  • Work under shade or overcast day.

  • Keep the temperature between 65°F–80°F (18°C–27°C). This is considered a mild or comfortable temperature.

  • Avoid: Below 55°F (vinyl becomes stiff), or above 90°F (solution evaporates too fast)

 Step 1: Prepping Glass Window

  • Wash off all dirt, dust, and grime from the quarter windows or rear window.
  • Dry the window with a clean microfiber towel.
  • For removing oils or waxes if necessary: use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol with (distilled) water and wipe clean with a clean microfiber towel.

Tip: Avoid using glass cleaners with ammonia (like Windex) — they leave residue that interferes with adhesion.

Flatten a Rolled-Up Decal Before Installation

  1. Unroll and separate the decals.

  2. Flip the decal and make sure the backing paper is facing towards you.

  3. First flatten the decal with your hand as much as you can. Once done grab your squeegee and start to squeegee the backing paper to help flatten the backing paper.

  4. Another method you can do is lifting the decal with the transfer tape and reapplying it back to the backing paper. Keep in mind if you do this method you may risk the chance of catching contaminates on the adhesive of the decal since it will be exposed.

  5. Start from one edge of the decal and lift the transfer tape and decal from the backing paper slowly. You will only lift the decal half way, once you have it half way grab your squeegee and slowly squeegee the film back onto the backing paper. Use one hand to hold the decal and with your other hand you will be squeegeeing the film back to the backing paper. Once it has been tacked down, repeat the process on the other end of the decal.

Installation Process

Wet Application Process

  • Peel the decal and transfer tape together from its backing paper slowly and evenly

  • Spray the sticky (adhesive) side of the decal generously with your slip solution.

  • Spray the window area where you’ll install the decal as well.

  • Place the decal on the window. The solution will allow you to slide it into the perfect position.

  • Once aligned, use a squeegee or credit card (wrapped in a soft cloth) to gently press from the center outward.

  • Push out all the water and air bubbles from the decal.

  • Let it sit for 3–5 minutes, then re-squeegee to ensure complete contact.

  • Repeat the same steps for the other side of the quarter window to install your window decal.

Important: Leave the transfer tape on your decal(s) for now to let the adhesive cure.

  Decal Curing Process

  • Once the install is complete we recommend to let the decals to fully dry before removing the transfer tape. Drying process varies depending on the weather condition.

  • DO NOT remove the transfer tape if the decal is not fully adhering to the glass window of your vehicle.

  • To help with the drying process (also depending on the weather) leave the vehicle parked outside and letting the sun help dry and cure the adhesive of the decal. Keep in mind drying time can vary between 30-60 minutes.
  • You can double check and see if the decal has fully dried. Remove just a small portion of the transfer tape slowly. While removing the transfer tape if you notice the decal either moving or lifting that is an indication that the decal has not fully dried. You will need to grab your squeegee and resecure the section where you removed the transfer tape.

 Transfer Tape Removal

  • Once the decals have fully dried and cured you can start removing the transfer tape.

  • Start peeling off the transfer tape slowly at a flat sharp angle from the top left of the decal.
  • Take your time removing the transfer tape from the entire decal.
  • Once you fully remove the transfer tape, grab a clean microfiber towel and clean off any remaining solution from the decal.

 Aftercare Instructions

  • Let the decal dry naturally.

  • Moisture bubbles should disappear within a few days. If there are any bubbles after a few days those are air bubbles and you can carefully pop them with a needle, apply a bit of heat and press them flat with a soft cloth.
  • Do not wash the car or expose it to high-pressure water for at least 48 hours.
  • For long-term maintenance avoid using Windex or ammonia-based sprays. That will damage the adhesive of the decal.

Optional: Apply a ceramic spray sealant after 7 days for extended life and added UV protection.

Want to Remove the Decal Later?

No problem! Here's how:

  • Heat it first.

    • Use a heat gun or hair drying to warm up small parts of the decal.

  • Peel slowly.

    • Start at a corner and pull gently at an angle (not straight up).

  • Clean leftover glue.

    • Use Sprayway Glass Cleaner or Windex and a microfiber towel.

  • Final wipe.

    • Spray IPA to a clean microfiber towel to remove any residue.
