Here are step-by-step instructions for installing an infotainment screen protector:

Materials You Will Need:
- Infotainment screen protector
- Microfiber cloth
- Squeegee

Step 1: Clean the Screen

  • Turn off the infotainment screen. This reduces the chance of static buildup and helps you see dust and smudges.
  • Use the microfiber cloth to gently wipe the screen, removing dust, smudges, and fingerprints.
  • Spray alcohol on a towel and wipe away any left over oils & smudges. This removes oils and other debris.
  • Dry the screen with a dry towel to ensure there is no moisture remaining.
  • Make sure the screen is completely clean and dust-free before proceeding.

Step 2: Align the Screen Protector

  • Hold the screen protector above the infotainment screen, aligning the screen protector to the center of the screen.
  • Pay attention to any buttons, sensors, or cutouts, and make sure these line up perfectly before applying.

Step 3: Apply the Screen Protector

  • Peel off the adhesive backing on the screen protector. Be careful not to touch the adhesive side with your fingers.
  • Spray a light mist of water onto to the adhesive side of the screen protector.
  • Carefully align the protector and slowly press it onto the screen to prevent the film from sliding.
  • Use a squeegee or your fingers to gently press down from the center outward to eliminate air bubbles as you apply the protector. Work slowly to ensure a smooth application.

Step 4: Remove Air Bubbles

  • If any bubbles remain use the squeegee or a credit card wrapped in a microfiber cloth to push them toward the edges of the screen.
  • For smaller bubbles, they may dissipate on their own after 24-48 hours.

Step 5: Final Check

  • Wipe the screen protector with the microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints or dust.
  • Turn on the infotainment screen to ensure everything looks clear and functions properly.

By following these instructions, you’ll have a clean, bubble-free installation that protects your infotainment screen from scratches and smudges.
